Aluminium poster frames with a durable and attractive red paint finish. Like all our snap frames these bright red poster frames hinge open /snap shut for quick and easy insertion of any printed picture, sign or notice. Red snap frames including red A4 snap frames are now ON SALE.
Red clip frames are suitable for many different situations ranging from primary schools to businesses whose corporate colour is red.
Red poster frames are perfect for fire and safety posters.
Red coloured snap frames are available from stock in standard paper sizes: A4, A3, A2 and A1.
A simple hidden fixing system makes for easy mounting by screws - or double-sided adhesive tape can be used.
A cover face sheet is included - this has an anti-reflective surface. The frame is suitable for any type of paper inserts matching the size of frame.
Can I used red snap frames outdoors
Yes our red snap frames can be used outdoors, each frame comes with 4 pre-drilled holes hidden inside the frame so you can use the fixing screws and plugs provided to fix to an outside wall. We do recommend that you use a waterproof paper when making your sign.

In addition to these red poster frames, our standard range of snap and click frames come with a silver anodised coating making them durable both indoor and outdoor.
The frame profile width for our stock size red snap frames is 25mm (i.e. 1 inch wide border all round).
The paint finsh is achieved by a process called powder coating. This gives a very smooth oven baked finish to the metal which is very resistant to chips and scratches. The paint colour is RAL 3020 known as Traffic Red. It is a bright red colour frame. The red frame colour is suitable for displaying fire notices and safety posters.
The frame dimensions are defined by the poster size which they are designed to fit.
The visible poster area is reduced by 10mm all round when the frame surround closes - so don't print any critical text right on the edge of the paper.
The external frame size is 15mm all round larger than the poster size.
Screws and wall plugs are supplied with every frame. Red snap frames are supplied individually boxed.

The width of the surround is 2.5cm = 25mm or 1 inch
Front to back depth of 25mm profile snap frame: 12mm (approx 1/2 inch)
A4 relates to the size of paper an A4 frame will fit.
A narrow strip around the edge of your print is hidden when the frame is closed. Visible poster size: 22mm less than actual poster (i.e. 11mm all round your poster is hidden by the frame surround)
The overall size of the frame is larger than the paper inserted. Overall (external) frame sizes are shown in the table:

Fix snap frames using screws
The best way to permanently fix snap frame is with screws.
Screws and plastic wall plugs are included with every snap frame we supply
The wall plugs are for use with masonry walls such as brick and most plastered walls
When screwing onto wood the plugs are not needed
A power drill and screwdriver are required for screw fixing (and we recommend using a spirit level and tape measure to ensure the frames are properly aligned). If in doubt please consult a proficient DIY or trades person.
Fix snap frames using adhesive tape
Rolls of double-side adhesive tape are available as an accessory item.
If double-side adhesive tape is used to fix frames (in place of the screws supplied) please check the smoothness and suitability of the wall.
Tiles and similar surfaces may be suitable provided they are cleaned thoroughly before application.
Tape fixing is not suitable for surfaces with a non-stick coating or porous/foamed surfaces.
We recommend that tape is used around the full perimeter of the frame.
Larger frames are normally best screwed. A residue of foam tape will be left on the wall or door after removal of the frame and the frame will usually be hard to get off.
