This Privacy Statement describes how we collect and use data relating to anyone using the website at www.sign-holders.co.uk. Your privacy is very important to us.  This Privacy Policy aims to give you information on how we collect and use your personal data.

 

Collection of your Personal Information

 We collect certain information that personally identifies you ("personal information") when you:

  • (b) Register to receive a newsletter
  • (c) Submit an enquiry to us that you would like us to answer.

We do need to store the name, address, email and telephone number you provide when you place an order or request a quotation in order to provide our service to you. We do not store sensitive data, such as credit card details, so you will need to provide these each time you order.

Sometimes we may need to let others have access to certain data (such as to allow our warehouse and courier to deliver your order to you, our payment provider or accounts team to process your transaction) but we are very careful about who we let near your data, how they can use it and how that data is transferred securely.

When you want to use any restricted area of the Site such as your customer account page, you will need an email address, and password selected by you. Your password is securely encrypted and it cannot be viewed by any member of our staff or any third party. We may also collect certain information about your visit using Cookies.

This information may include: your IP address, device type, pages visited. access times and referring website addresses. This information is used for the operation of the Site, to maintain the quality of the Site, and to provide general statistics regarding use of the Site.   

Use of your Personal Information

Aside from the uses described above, we may use your personal information to allow you access to limited-entry areas of the Site and to send you newsletters via our email service provider (Mailchimp) if you have given us your specific consent.

We may also securely pass on your details to a trusted financial organisation (SagePay or PayPal) for processing your payment card details. We do not permit them to retain, share, store or use personally identifiable information for any secondary purposes.

 We will provide those businesses only the information they need to deliver their service. We might also pass some of your details to authorised third parties, such as Mailchimp and Reviews.co.uk, to allow you to give us feedback on our service so we can improve the level of service we provide.

Other than as set out in this Privacy Statement, we shall not disclose your personal information to third parties unless we are required to do so by law.  In no circumstances do we support or will we use your data to generate spam email marketing.The Site may contain on-page clickable links to other websites. Please be aware we are not responsible for third parties' privacy practices or the content of their websites.

The period for which we retain your data depends on the nature of the data collected. In many cases we have a legal obligation to retain such data to comply with tax and other laws, we may also need to retain this to protect our business interests.

If you request a quotation, place an order,  sign up for our newsletter, or similar, we need to store the personal data you provide. This is in order to provide you with the service you are requesting. The personal data we use is typically your name, work address, work telephone and work email, but might include your home address, personal email or personal mobile phone number if you provided them instead.

  • To manage our relationship with you

Sometimes we might need to contact you for operational or administrative reasons. For example, we may need to get in touch if there’s been a problem or delay with your order or an issue with your payment. These communications are essential and are not for marketing purposes, so you’ll continue to receive them even if you opt-out of marketing.

  • To inform you of news and offers

  • Payment handlers - Our payment handlers, Sage Pay and PayPal require your card details to handle your process your payment. We do not store your card details.
  • Review sites - Review sites, such as Reviews.co.uk, may get temporary access to your email address to request your feedback on our products and services. You can opt-out of these.
  • Analytics platforms - Our analytics platform, Google Analytics, is used to help us monitor site performance and make the experience better for customers. We comply with Google’s terms and anonymise data and never store personally identifiable information (PII).

Keeping your data safe

We will endeavour to maintain the confidentiality and security of your personal information both on-line and off-line. We have in place appropriate technical and security measures to prevent unauthorized or unlawful access to your personal information. When our registration/order forms ask users to enter sensitive information (such as credit card number), that information is encrypted and is protected with encryption software - SSL.
