Panel hanging systems on cables
Description
Wall panel hanging from vertical cables offers a versatile solution for many situations including hanging large box pictire frames. Top and bottom support brackets are screwed onto panels, shelves or soffits for attaching to pre-installed drop wires. Panels must be receptive to screw fixing from the edge and/or the top/bottom.
These self-locking cable grippers enable many objects to be suspended on hanging wires: large display panels mounted in shop windows, suspended artefacts in museums, floating shelves in contemporary interiors, art and sculpture installations hanging in an atrium, securing bespoke light fittings or hanging eqipment in ceiling voids.
The small yet strong hanging brackets incorporate powerful cable grippers to lock onto the wire, with a finger release button to facilitate fine adjustment on site. Top and bottom brackets are handed vertically - meaning the height adjustment buttons always face upwards. The fittings are designed to work best with 1.5mm diameter wire rope (7x7 steel).
The brackets are made from alloy castings with satin silver finish. Each fitting can support 10kg with a large margin of safety. With four fittings we recommend the display panel or shelf weight is limited to 25kg. Ensure the top cable fixings will support the requiste load, which will be influenced by the type of ceiling and anchor fixings selected for the project.
