If you are looking for extruded aluminium outdoor signs these waterproof snap frames are the answer. Posters can be changed with ease by lifting up the spring-loaded frame profiles to gain access to the poster cover sheet. This frame features an over-size poster protector with a gasket seal behind it to keep out the rain. The gasket comprises foam rubber strips which provide a weather-proof seal and keep posters dry.

Useful for outdoor shopping centre signs, for garden centres, theme parks, holiday and leisure centres, builders merchants, education and other public sector notices, and so on. Please note that condensation can occur within a waterproof snap frame whenever the ambient temperature falls below the dew point. It is advisable to print posters on a grade of paper, often referred to as waterproof paper, which is resistant to humidity .  Likewise the ink used should be resistant to fading in sunlight if a poster is intended to be exposed to daylight for some time.

Waterproof snap frames are designed to be mounted onto a flat wall or surface so that the back is not exposed, as this may compromise the ability to remian waterproof. To mount on  alternative surfaces such as fences and railings we recommend that you first mount the frame onto a rigid solid backing board, and then attach the backing board to your desired location.

• The width of the surround is 2.5cm = 25mm or 1 inch
• Front to back depth of 25mm profile snap frame: 16mm
• A4 relates to the size of paper an A4 frame will fit.
• A narrow strip around the edge of your print is hidden when the frame is closed.
  Visible poster size: 2mm less than actual poster (i.e. 1mm all round your poster is hidden by the frame surround) 
• The overall size of the frame is larger than the paper inserted.

Fix snap frames using screws

• The best way to permanently fix snap frame is with screws.
• Screws and plastic wall plugs are included with every snap frame we supply
• The wall plugs are for use with masonry walls such as brick and most plastered walls 
• When screwing onto wood the plugs are not needed 
• A power drill and screwdriver are required for screw fixing (and we recommend using a spirit level and tape measure to ensure the frames are properly aligned). If in doubt please consult a proficient DIY or trades person.
