A5 snap frames are designed to fit A5 printed paper inserts - that's half standard A4. Smaller A6 snap frames accommodate A6 size paper, which is half the size of A5.
Both A6 and A5 snap frames are designed for easy poster change as the frames open up simply without tools and with no need to take down from the wall. The special type of snap frame offered here is called an Opti frame and offers additional benefits of freedom from sharp corners as well as ease of fixing using screws, adhesive tape or hanging on a nail, tack or pin.
Small versatile snap frames for A5 and A6
Amongst many other uses, these budget-friendly A6 and A5 snap frames make great office door signs and are available in a smart silver finish or classic black. The safety-tipped corners make them an excellent choice for use in locations such as schools and residential homes where safety in use is an important consideration.
Multiple uses for Opti frames
Do you need to display... an Invitation to leave a review, a WIFI code for patrons to get online, captions for original art in a gallery, or perhaps a Please Wash your Hands sign? The beauty of these small A6 and A5 snap frames is that you can display any message you choose - and upodate just as easily.
A5 and A6 Opti frames are perfect for photos, small notices and as changeable name plates or office door signs using paper inserts printed on your office printer. Just flip open the frame surrounds to swap over your message (no need to remove the frame from the wall or door). A poster protector cover sheet is included. The A5 snap frame suits 'picture plus resident's name' bedroom door signs in care homes.
Neat snap frames are made from slim 14mm (1/2") wide aluminium and can be mounted landscape or portrait.
Choice of brushed silver or black frame finish.
Plastic-tipped corners are safe in use (no sharp corners found on some snap frames).
The A6 snap frame fits inserts size 148x106 mm (approx. 6"x4"). The A5 snap frame fits inserts size 210x148 mm (approx. 8"x6").
Can be screwed to walls or fixed using double-sided adhesive tape. (1 roll per 25-50 frames).
A6 and A5 frames can also be hung on a picture hook or nail (this is less secure).

A6 relates to the size of paper an A6 frame will fit.
A narrow strip around the edge of your print is hidden when the frame is closed. Visible poster size: 10mm less than actual poster (i.e. 5mm all round your poster is hidden by the frame surround)

Opti frames are supplied fully assembled and individually boxed.
Hang Opti frames on a picture hook
Smaller Opti snap frames up to and including A3 size can be hung on a single picture pin nailed into the wall.
The back of the frame provides this facility whether the frame is to be mounted portrait or landscape
Hanging a snap frame on a picture hook, nail or tack only requires a hammer.
Picture hooksand tacks are not supplied. They are available from hardware stores.
Fix Opti frames using screws
The usual way to permanently fix Opti frames is with screws.
Screws and plastic wall plugs are not supplied as these frames can be fixed to diffent surfaces.
When screwing onto wood wall plugs are not needed
A drill and screwdriver are required for screw fixing (and we recommend using a spirit level and tape measure to ensure the frames are properly aligned). If in doubt please consult a proficient DIY or trades person.
Fix Opti frames using adhesive tape
Rolls of double-side adhesive tape are available as an accessory item.
If double-side adhesive tape is used to fix frames please check the smoothness and suitability of the wall.
Tiles and similar surfaces are generally suitable provided they are cleaned thoroughly before application.
Tape fixing is not suitable for surfaces with a non-stick coating or porous/foamed surfaces.
We recommend that tape is used around the full perimeter of the frame.
Larger frames are normally best screwed. A residue of foam tape will be left on the wall or door after removal of the frame and the frame will usually be hard to get off.
