Stand off sign fixings - Fisso Rapid

How to fit standoff wall fixings:

1) Each panel is normally fixed using four stand-off fittings.  However different numbers of fixings can be used at the customer's or installer's discretion, hence the fittings are priced singly.

2) The panel to be displayed can be virtually any size but must be rigid, up to 12mm thick and normally weigh less than 10kg (unless extra fixings are used or the design is checked by an experienced installer).  The Rapid is normally used for small or mid-sized panels.
Two-layer panels of clear acrylic can be used with a printed graphic sandwiched between them.  Alternatively, single layer panels can be made from acrylic and other rigid plastics, or in some cases toughened safety glass, aluminium composite sheet, anodised aluminium panels etc.

3) 9mm dia holes should be provided in the panel, normally close to each corner. The shaft diameter of the fitting is 8mm but a 9mm hole allows a small misalignment tolerance. 

4) The panel is offered up to the wall and the hole centres are marked onto the wall.  The fixing holes can then be drilled and a wall plug inserted.  If the wall is other than masonry (with or without plaster) a different screw fixing method may be required - please consult a tradesman.

5) The body of each Fisso Rapid stand-off fixing is then screwed to the wall.  The graphic panel is then secured to the body by introducing the shaft into the body of the fitting, inserting the supplied black rubber grommet behind the panel to cushion the panel and achieve a tight rattle-free fit.  The smoothly rounded head of the fitting holds the panel in place.

6) A locking grubscrew can then be tightened by inserting the supplied Allen key from the side while pressing the front of the fitting so that the panel is firm and rigid.  The clever design of the shaft is designed to spread with a few turns of the Allen key, locking the panel in place.
