Description
Suspended ceiling fixtures with wire cables, hooks and loops
Attachment of hanging signs or other items to suspended ceilings is easy with these quality fixings and wire fittings. Twist Ceiling Anchor (TCA) attaches securely onto a standard 25mm/1" suspended ceiling grid to secure the hanging wire.
Suspension cable kits come with either a HOOK or a LOOP fitting.
Both versions include a 1m long suspension cable - a strong 1.5mm diameter galvanised wire rope. Kit comprises a single wire with fittings (not a pair).
Safe Hook version is used to attach products with a suitable lug or hanging eye - such as poster bars and banner rails. A sprung gate prevents the item becoming dislodged.
Urban Trapeze (UT) version allows any size loop to be created. The wire is threaded through one port of the self locking fitting, around the item to be hung, and finally back through the second self locking port. Both ports of this neat fitting feature a release button to enable adjustments, either to the size of the loop or to the height of the suspended sign, light fitting etc.
Height adjustment is a breeze and requires no tools. Levelling up takes place at the sign rather than at the ceiling. Excess wire can then be snipped off using cable cutters.
Need to hang a panel or rigid sign substrate? An equivalent kit is available with a choice of panel gripper to suit panels up to 5mm or 10mm thick.
Applications and load ratings
Suspended ceiling hangers fit standard 25mm / 1" wide ceiling grids. They lock securely onto the ceiling bars with a twist action.
Please ensure the suspended ceiling grid is cabable of carrying the additional load created by the sign or banner being hung. Suspended ceilings are only designed to accept limited additional loads. The fittings and wires in the above kits will generally support greater loads than most suspended ceiling grids. The Safe Hook combination will support 6kg safe working load. The Urban Trapeze (loop) combination will support 10kg safe working load.
A 1m wire (terminated at one end to secure it it the domed ceiling anchor component) is sufficient for the majority of installations. If the ceiling height is unusually high (e.g. over a stair well) the kit can be ordered with a 2m cable - alternatively a 2m terminated cable can be purchased as an 'extra' to ensure that when installation commences all options are covered.
Surplus wire can be trimed off after final levelling using good quality sharp wire cutters.
