The company is based near Southampton in Swanmore, a village close to Bishops Waltham, Hedge End, and Fareham.

Due to our rural location, your own transport is essential.

Job Vacancy - Customer Service Assistant 

• Permanent position
• £9.50 - £11.50 phr depending on experience

We are looking for someone to join our small, friendly, and highly motivated team as a Customer Service Assistant. You will support senior team members, deliver excellent customer service and grow our emerging social media presence. You will develop strong product knowledge and will often be the first point of contact between the Company and its customers.

Responsibilities include:

• Responding to customer enquiries and issues (and the rare complaint)
• Answer the telephone, sort and respond to sales office emails
• Contact customers with information about their enquiries and/or orders
• Develop and maintain the Company's social media profile
• Process sales and related documentation and general administration
• Keep the office and communal areas clean and tidy
• Any other ad hoc duties as requested and appropriate to the role

Essential qualifications and skills:

• GCSE Maths, English and IT (or equivalent)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Confident, friendly and polite
• Ability to learn and retain information quickly
• Ability to remain calm and focused in a busy environment
• IT literate
• Social Media skilled
• Punctual, organised and reliable

Desirable qualifications, skills and experience:

• Level 3 qualification in a business or retail subject ('A' Levels, NVQ, BTEC etc.)
• Experience in working in a retail or customer-facing environment
• Experience of working in a team

DUE TO OUR RURAL LOCATION, IT IS ESSENTIAL THAT YOU HAVE YOUR OWN MEANS OF TRANSPORT. WE ARE LOCATED IN A SMALL INDUSTRIAL ESTATE IN SWANMORE WITH VERY LIMITED ACCESS TO PUBLIC TRANSPORT.
