Outdoor Plastic Poster Frames - ideal for Garden Centres

Plastic poster frames with a poster insertion slot on the short side can be used for the display of prints in many situations, including outdoors, by choosing the right fixings.

Frame fits standard-sized paper such as A3, A4, and A5 prints from the office printer.
The frame is oversized to accommodate laminated A4 (i.e. A4 paper encapsulated in a regular laminating pouch).
Comes with a correx backing sheet to stop your POS from flying out of the frame.
Clear front cover is not included in the price as this is not required by any customer using laminated prints.
Order fixing clips and poster protectors separately according to your requirements.
Use with any Slim frame fixing clip or system.
High-quality ABS Plastic to last longer outdoors, beware cheap imitations do not last.

Plastic POS frames for laminated prints

Plastic POS frames made of high-quality ABS plastic complete with correx backing sheet. Simply slot in your A3 print on the short side of the frame. By choosing the appropriate fixings these A3 plastic frames can be used anywhere - indoors or outside.

Fits standard-sized paper in A3, A4, and A5 and laminated prints.
Clear cover sheets are available separately if required.
Order fasteners or special mounting clips separately according to your requirements.
Use with any Slim frame fixing clip or system.

Suitable inserts

These plastic frames are mainly used with paper inserts - either plain paper or laminated - or printable plastic films.
Signs or point-of-sale materials may also be printed on thin rigid plastic - for example, 350-micron rigid PVC.
If the correx backing sheet is removed the frames can be used with thicker inserts such as 3mm foamex, rigid foam PVC panels, ACP or similar display boards.

These frames are not intended for use with glass fronts. If you wish to cover your paper print we recommend our thin gauge poster protectors. However, these will not protect the print from rain or general humidity. That is achieved by enclosing the whole print in plastic with a sealed edge - known as encapsulation - or by printing on a waterproof material such as synthetic paper or waterproof film.

A4 Slim Frame is our most popular and cheapest A4 frame

The popularity is enhanced because as well as taking standard A4 paper inserts it also accepts A4 which has been laminated. Laminating pouches are used to seal the print and render it waterproof for use outdoors. However the edge seal adds 3mm all around the paper. This means that it will not fit in any regular poster frame or sign holder without re-trimming: which ruins the seal! However with Green Magic's unique laminated size frames the problem disappears.

These plastic frames are used extensively in retail nurseries and garden centres, in theme parks, nature reserves, zoological parks and many other outdoor locations. They are durable outdoors and look equally good indoors.

Unlike most plastic sign holders which have round corners, these frames have square corners (in sizes A5, A4 and A3). These look more stylish in a modern shop or office environment. Slim frames are virtually unbreakable and can be used outdoors.

The frames are supplied without fixings. Any of the Series 100 fasteners (OEK.1xx) will fit A4 Slim frames. A few popular fittings are shown below (Related Products).

A3 plastic Slim frames can be used indoors or outside

The included 3mm correx backing sheet ensures that prints do not blow out of the frame. Indoors, the backing sheet ensures that the print is held forward in the frame and that the paper does not ripple or bow. Poster protectors are sold separatley, if required. However as most of the time customers uses laminated paper inserts poster protectors are rarely required.

When used with a laminated A3 print the frame can be used outdoors. The following frame colours have proved particularly successful in long term outdoor applications (e.g. 5 years plus): Black, white, green, dark green, navy blue. The following colours are not recommended for extended outdoor use as the colours can fade over a few years: red, yellow, orange.
