Benefits of movable office partitions

Office partitions offer some protection against transmission of airborne germs or viruses at close quarters. Office dividers also slightly help reduce sound  interference of neighbouring conversations.

Wheels

When you order the wheeled version of the floor screen the set of 4 wheels (castors) are packed separately. The pads on the supplied feet need to be removed and replaced with the wheels. The wheel kit includes the two spanners and dome headed nuts required to secure the castors.

Delivery considerations

This product is not heavy to pick up or move but it is very large. We deliver using a specialist courier.

The screen cannot be returned using a standard parcel delivery company or transported in a car.

Dimensions

We offer one size of screen: 2m high x 1m wide. Screens can be stood in a line, the ends butting up to one another, to create longer protective barriers. Alternatively linked screen sets are available (please refer to links below).

The overall height of the screen (without castors) is 2006 mm and the overall width is 1000 mm.

The thickness of the PET panel is 1 mm. It is supplied with protective film on each face. This must be peeled off during assembly otherwise the panels will appear opaque and dull.

The feet are 400 mm long, centred under the screen. So they protrude out either side of the screen by approx 20 cm. This provides sufficient stability for normal traffic areas indoors, away from automatic doors which can cause significant gusts of wind. The screens are not intended for use outdoors.

The vertical uprights are 40 mm deep by 38 mm wide (i,e, viewed from the front).

The feet are made from 6 mm thick steel (powder coated) and supplied with protective black plastic pads on the undersides. They are equipped with holes at all four corners to allow screwing down to the floor (optional - the customer must evaluate the appropriate fixings needed) or the fitting of castors to create the version with wheels.

Easy assembly and refitting of clear plastic screen

• Assembly instructions are supplied.
  The frame is supplied ready assembled with just the feet and optional wheels to be added.
• If the plastic screen needs to be refitted because it 'popped out' in transit or during vigorous cleaning, this can be done easily.

The legs are attached using supplied bolts and allen key (hexagonal wrench).

Optional castors can be fitted to the metal feet by means of supplied dome head nuts which need to be tightened with a pair of spanners (supplied in the optional wheels pack)

Removal and replacement of the screen

It is possible to remove, clean and replace the screen. The process takes about 5 minutes for 2 people working together.

1. Remove the top plastic caps. They should pull out but you may need to push them out using a flat blade screwdriver.
2. Lay the floor screen down on the floor.
3. Looking at the top crossbar you will see 2 hexagon shape nuts, with a 3mm Allen key, rotate these anti-clockwise to release the side locks.
4. Slide the clear plastic screen out of the stand; now remove the plastic gripper strips from the slots in the stand.
5. Attach the grippers to the screen and slide back into the stand.  The technique is to push each side in at the same time.
6. Replace the top crossbar and feed the top of the screen into the crossbar gripper strip.
7. Gently push down on the crossbar and tighten the lock screws with the allen key. Before tightening the side locks ensure the T-shape end is properly engaged in the side poles.
8. Replace the top caps.  

 If you require a 3mm Allen key we will post one to you. You will have recived one in the original kit as it is the same size used to attach the feet to the upright poles.
