Working hours: Mon - Fri 9.00am to 5.00pm
We are a successful B2B online business with a vacancy for a bright, able and ambitious person to join our team in a management trainee or junior executive capacity. You may be a graduate with some commercial experience; or you may have demonstrated ability in a technical sales or digital marketing role. We are seeking talented and capable candidates with potential to take on new challenges.
You must be able to get to our rural location (in Swanmore, Hampshire) using your own transport.
About the Job
In the initial learning phase your focus will be on helping with sales and customer service while you learn about the business and our product range. We are a small but dynamic company supplying signage-related products to a wide range of business and public sector customers. We are looking for someone with potential to extend into other varied multi-skilled roles, as an exciting period of change and expansion is set to begin.
Our main route to order acquisition is via a successful e-commerce webshop. This is currently being completely re-engineered ready for re-launch on a much more technologically advanced platform (Magento 2). This will open new sales and marketing opportunities for us to exploit. We hope the successful applicant will show potential to take responsibility for and manage specific functions in the future.
We are looking for someone with existing workplace skills and experience – unfortunately this is not a school-leaver job. On the job training will be provided, but the applicant must also be a motivated self-learner to help our business excel in online B2B commerce, with a focus on great customer service, teamed with an efficient warehousing and despatch operation.
We need to hear about your specific skills and qualifications. You may have first-hand experience of online technology or knowledge of one of the sectors related to our business. We’d like to hear about that. Your starting salary will reflect the point you’ve reached in your career, so please include current salary level.
The skills and attributes you will definitely need for this job are:
- Articulate and able to write and speak impeccable English
- Numerate with good skills in Excel (and other software)
- Confident user of, and interested in, computer/online technologies
- Practical person, comfortable with moderately technical subjects
- A get-it-right and problem-solver approach to work
- Intelligent and keen to learn – with educational qualifications to support this
- Comfortable with face-to-face and over-the-phone communication
- Own transport as Swanmore is not well connected to public transport
