A5 plastic Slim frames are especially popular for garden centre signage since they fit the industry standard size of bedcard or bed label (8in x 6in) as well as A5 and encapsulated A5 paper.
These A5 frames can be used outdoors. This applies when the insert is encapsulated (laminated) paper or a waterproof plastic printed insert.
Note: The following colours are not recommended for extended outdoor use and the frame colours can fade: red, yellow, orange.
The following frame colours have proved particularly successful in long term outdoor applications (e.g. 5 years plus): Black, white*, green, dark green, navy blue. * White is in fact an off-white or slightly creamy white.
If you envisage a large project involving maybe hundreds of frames you may want to request a colour sample.
One popular fixing system is Grip Strip - a continuous clear plastic U-channel suitable for use outdoors as well as inside - into which Slim frames fit. The Grip Strip is screwed onto plant benches and bed dividers. We have sold tens of thousands of metres of Grip Strip for this application.
Successful installations of a similar type have been used in many other types of stores - shoe shops, delicatessens, above freezers etc. Any of the other OEK Series 100 clips (OEK.1xx) will also fit A5 Slim frames.
