Sign stand - choice of fixed height stems

These sign stands come with slot-in style plastic frames to take plain paper or laminated prints.

The Slim frame is located in a T-piece on top of an aluminium stem, secured at the bottom in a rectangular metal base. The frame and the base are both black.

The longer stem is 800mm making the sign stand suitable for low tables and plinths. It can also be used on the floor provided the base is stabilised by placing a heavy object or product on it. The height to the top of an A3 frame is 1.2m (4ft).
The shorter stem is 500mm long making the sign stand suitable for table top use. The height to the top of an A4 frame is 850mm (about 34").
Both heights are the same price - please select carefully.

Stands with adjustable height stems are also available (see below) and offer additional versatility. Such models are available in a range of frame colours (not just black as is the case for this product).

Specification

Sign stands with fixed height stems are not adjustable with respect to height, though there are two stem lengths available: 500mm (20") and 800mm (32") plus frame.

It is possible to fit the plastic slot-in frames either portrait or landscape, and switch them once fitted.

The frames click firmly into the T-piece but can be adjusted or removed by sliding/rotating them within the T-piece. The poster insertion slot in the frame can be placed at the top or side - but not at the bottom as that will make it loose in the T-piece.

The stem or aluminium tube is matt silver and will not rust. The tube diameter is 10mm.

These sign stands can be used outdoors but it is essential to place something weighty on the base to prevent them toppling in the wind.

When used outdoors your paper print must be encapsulated (laminated) to render it waterproof. The frames are supplied with a backing sheet made of Correx. This prevents flimsy paper signs blowing out - it acts as a stiffener.

The frames can be used double-sided, with a print each side of the backing sheet. Alternatively the backing sheet can be removed or discarded.

Floor stands

Please note that we have several better products for floor standing sign applications which will be much more stable in free-standing situations. The fixed height sign stand on this page can only be used when a plant pot, crate of bottles, stack of boxes etc is placed upon the flat rectangular base to weight it. Otherwise the relatively small base will topple over in the case of the 800mm stem. The 500mm stem is too low to use on the floor - it will be below eye height and won't be noticed.
