M-base means this model has a metal base.
The metal table-top base is made of steel and powder coated black with a durable paint finish. A plastic tube holder fitting is mechanically fixed to the base. This supports the adjustable height telescopic stem securely.
When a green frame is specified the tube holder is also green - otherwise the tube holder is black to match the base. The T-piece colour always matches the frame.
