30mm profile movie poster frames

"One Sheet" size movie poster frame with stylish black finish.
This is nominally described as a 27"x40" frame but it fits 27x41, 27x40 and 27x39 inch posters. The frame actually fits a maximum poster size 27"x41" but thanks to a thin black insert strip (supplied) the visible image area can be reduced to accomodate all variants. It may also be used with European B1 size posters: 700x1000 mm (70x100cm).

The 27x40 aluminium frame has a contemporary styling using a 30mm 'cushion' shape profile which complements the poster on display. All frames are supplied complete and ready to fix with anti-glare PVC poster protector front cover and wall fixings.

Poster protectors (front covers) are made from PVC with an anti-glare surface on one side (reverse for shiny side outwards). This is a standard material used in commercial snap frames but it does not have the same optical clarity as glass.

Remember too that snap frames cover up the edge of any poster. In the case of the 30mm profile only 10mm is hidden behind the frame surround when closed.

A word of caution:

Long term (i.e. permanent) display of particularly valuable posters in any type of snap frame is not recommended. The PVC poster protector sheet does not offer UV protection - i.e. prints could fade in time, especially if exposed to bright daylight or sunlight. The backing sheet is not claimed to be archival grade material. For irreplaceable high value movie posters we suggest you consult an expert picture framer who can supply archival presentation and storage solutions.

As regular snap frames are not waterproof we do not suggest you use this frame outside (unless the poster is only intended for short term display). For professional theatres requiring lockable outdoor or illuminated poster cases we will be pleased to quote for bespoke manufactured products.

Movie Poster SIZES
UK movie posters are commonly 27in x 40in whereas American posters are often 27in x 41in. This paper size is often referred to as One Sheet. 1 Sheet posters can therefore be accomodated in this size snap frame. 1-Sheet poster frames are popular with movie poster collectors.

The B1 size which is a popular paper size in Continental Europe is 700mm x 1000mm (70cm x 100cm). 700x1000 converts exactly to 27-1/2in wide x 39-1/2in high: so this size frame can be used with B1 paper provided half inch can be sacrificed down each side.
